*TURKEY BREAST OF WONDER (crock pot)* So I made this recipe for thanksgiving 2013 and liked it so much that I made it again two weeks later for “friends-giving.” I found this recipe on Pinterest but it was originally posted on www.jamiecooksitup.net. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:One 5-6 pound turkey breast (just make sure it will fit in your crock pot)1/2 cup of orange juice One (14oz) can of whole cranberry sauceOne (1oz) package of Lipton Onion soup mixSalt & Pepper
Instructions:1. First make sure your turkey is completely thawed. Once its ready, open up the package and simply stick the turkey breast into the crock pot. (If the turkey you bought comes with a package of gravy make sure to just set that aside.)2. In a separate little bowl, combine your orange juice, cranberry sauce, and lipton onion mix.
3. Pour the mixture on top of the turkey breast.
4. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the turkey and then cook on low for 8-9 hours (or until inside temperature is 180)
5. Once done, take turkey out and cut up to eat! (Gravy recipe below)
For The Gravy: The original person did their gravy a little different then me, so here’s how I did it.
1. Once the turkey is out of the crock pot keep it turned on high and keep the juices from the turkey inside.
2. In separate measuring cup mix 1/2 cup of water and 4 Tablespoons of cornstarch.
3. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the crock pot a little bit at a time and stir until you reach the consistency you like.
4. Add about half a can of cream of mushroom soup, stir, and let heat thoroughly before serving.
